Sukiyabashi Jiro Honten is a ten-seater sushi restaurant hidden in the basement attached to the Ginza Metro station. It's been crowned with a three Michelin Star award for the tenth consecutive year since 2007. The sushi is an edible masterpiece that exhibits the highest craftsmanship of nigiri sushi.
ABOUT THE CHEF
Jiro Ono started his sushi journey at young age and became a sushi shokunin at the age of 26. With over 70 years of experience in perfecting his nigiri sushi crafts, he was heralded as a “Contemporary Master Craftsman” (Gendai Meiko) by the Japanese government. He is also reputed as the Japanese "living national treasure”, as well as “the God of sushi” in the documentary “Jiro Dreams of Sushi”.
